Falsies + Lipglosses = Random Mini Hauls

I recently visited fellow make-up addict "-SweetShuGaHon"'s blog, who is now a proud MAMA. (Congrats, Love...) and enjoyed her ebay haul. So I joined the bandwagon and bought myself the same eyelashes and the same pigment shadows with the same ebay seller. (I figured since she trusted to buy one from that retailer, I might as well do the same.)

I love love love the falsies, I think they are quite amazing and have a great detailing. Yes, it may not have the same look or make like Ardelle's or any other products out there, for the price I paid for, I can't complain. I have worn it on my "The Look" section (you must check that out), I must make sure I buy a Quo next time. I want my fake lashes to stick more onto my lid.

I'm never a fan of Stila Cosmetics. I find that their eyeshadows don't give enough payout. It then leaves a bare look on my face even with an eye primer on. However, their lipglosses are very moisturizing and are easily handy for a day out.

Stila Cosmetics Lipglosses

OooohhLalalalaalah.... This is way better than my MAC powder foundation. I love the texture of the powder and the way it sticks to my skin. I cannot believe how light it is and the way it doesn't give a cakey appearance. For more coverage, use the dry sponge; for a lighter coverage, use a brush, whichever you prefer.

M.A.C. and MUFE Eye Primer/Base

This is totally out-of-the-blue purchase. I never exactly figured out how both gel bases will work on my eyes. I'm in the stage of "CURIOSITY", everything that I will purchase from now on will be more of either, I don't have it yet, I run out of it and the I'm-too-scared to try it. And these two are categorized as I'm-too-scared to try it products.

MUFE Aqua Cream Waterproof Cream Color in shade 15 and M.A.C Fluidline in Blitz & Glitz

While waiting for my husband to meet me at one of the hot spots for Mall Rats: Metropolis at Metrotown, I quickly ran to Sephora, then to M.A.C Freestanding Store to check out some other make up products that might interest me. It probably took me a good 2 hours to figure out what I wanted. I went back and forth with NARS Super Orgasm and Turkey Delight, then to Make Up For Ever gel bases. I figured I join the rest of the makeup artist and start playing with the pros.

I bought this M.A.C gel liner because I ran out of my brand named liquid eye liner that I bought from London Drugs. I used to like Inglot's eye liners but since they closed down about 2 years ago, I resorted into getting an inexpensive brand that will do almost the same look. Just as my liner was drying out, I ended up using NYX's black eye pencil as a liner (which is the most well rounded pencil ever). Needless to say, I never looked back ever since. So purchasing this product was just due to a look that will require using a gel liner.

I find that Blacktrack Fluidline is much too dark for the look I wanted, so I opted for a charcoal color base much like the Blitz & Glitz. I figured that I might also use this gel line as a base for my darker smokey eye look. Be warned that gel liners dry up fast, so quickly apply it as a base on your crease and smoke it out ASAP.

MUFE Proffesional is very pricey. I find though that their line of makeup products are worth the price. I probably used this cream shadow once, with a concealer brush all over my crease. It doesn't clump up as much as fluidlines would and it doesn't dry up as fast. I recommend this color as a day time use or as a base for a color similar to its hue. I must say that I might like this line better than M.A.C's as a product but with pricing, I will stay with M.A.C as they are more affordable.

6 Clothing Pieces for 31 days

You must be worried, six items of clothing to wear within 31 days. That is one crazy idea that it might just work.

So, what is this six item thing that I'm raving about? It's called 6 items or less. I had fun reading this so-called website about other people's stories during that 1 month challenge. You will find that there are people who share their experiences to others who may not believe that it can be done, that it is possible. The way I look at it, Not having to worry about what clothes to wear gives chance and time for some personal one on one or even the time to finish a book or two. Definitely, there are savings put into pockets for emergencies. One more thing, laundry will be reduced from once a week to doing it into every 3 weeks, this will make mother nature happy. After all, doing things differently for a change is refreshing.

The challenge is pretty simple: pick 6 items and may wear during work and after for the entire month. Shoes and accessories are excluded, you may wear whatever. The good news is that North Americans are not the only continent who are taking this challenge, the whole world is taking part of this wonderful idea.

I may not be able to participate in this challenge. In my line of work, I must look fresh and presentable at all times. I may, however, tweet and blog about it for others who wants to change their lifestyle and make a difference can know about and act on it. Moreover, if I ever get to do this without consequence, I will not refuse. A good challenge never hurts a woman. Most importantly, the benefits it will result in the end: I see savings in my pocket, more space in my closet, happier environment and breaking the old habit.

How about you? Would you do it?

Reminds me of my first true relationship...

Goodbye My Almost Lover

My almost lover
You are gone now... so am I.
No more waiting
Guessing for the right answer...
I'm out...
Should have been a long time ago.

Yes. it is hard
And lately
I have been so weak.

Letting tears fall down my cheek.
I never dared wipe them.
Because I truly believe you are worth
every teardrop.

If you ever do realize that I am one of a kind
A true beauty
It would probably be too late
Just know that I still believe you were worth it.
All those moments I had spent
Daydreaming of you
Of 'us'.
I was truly happy
For a second...

I guess I am not as strong as I thought.
Maybe it was a good thing you left
My heart.

Now, just get out of my mind
My thoughts... wishes
My dreams and fantasies
Please... leave me alone for now.

When you see me... turn the other way
Or walk past me just like the wind
When I need help... do not offer a hand
If I try to talk to you... ignore me
If I keep staring... get out of my sight
Don't let my heart open up to you
A g a i n...
